  • Education:
    • BA Art History and Archeology (with Honors, Magna cum laude), University of Missouri, Columbia,December 1983, Thesis: On the Iconography of Boticelli's Primavera

  • Occupation:
I am a professional Librarian, specialized in Art, Architecture and Information Sciences. I worked for the Getty Research Center from 1985-1993 and from mid 1990 to mid 1991 exchanged my job with the Fondazione Querini Stampalia in Venice, Italy. I then went back to the Los Angeles Area, picked up my old job but was made an offer I could not refuse to start up a library from scratch for a cultural project sponsored by Benetton in 1993. So I started a company in Greenville, South Carolina (I have never been there although I would like to go), Idea Library and Information Resource Consultants Inc. I stayed with Fabrica untill mid 1996 having set up the library, and well I had had a major car accident being rearended by the police so I left to work on individual projects like contemporary art exhibitions, catalogs, and I was also the director of the Palio of the city of Feltre one summer. I just broke up with my Architect companion of 4 years with whom I also worked as his assistant researching, organizing and drawing (computer only). My new projects involve perhaps organizing an exhibition in NY for a really fine Artist/fisherman who lives on the island of Torcello, the origin of Venice, and the other involves setting up a social service to help improve the quality of life of the elderly in the city using European funds. I am still American but have been living here for 11 years, 10 consecutively in June. I go back to the states at least once a year. Life here is more social and contacts more human and a woman can walk around alone at night and not worry about her safety. There are other problems but basically thats why I love it here. I did not come here for a man but for the beauty of the country and for how easy it is to get around without a car.

  • Family News:
Single, no children. I just broke up with my companion and am over him but the details of separating money and goods are not resolved. My folks are well. Dad is 80 and doing well even though he had a stroke on 9/11/02.

  • Other News:
If anyone ever passes through Venice, I am 10 minutes away, I would hope they would give me a call either a camper of my year or another.
