Letter from the Charleston Office

Laine Lybeck

Greetings from the Charleston office!

Hello all! I hope this letter finds you and your family doing well! It's been about two months since my last letter, so I imagine you have gotten into the swing of things in this New Year of 2008 and are keeping busy!

I have noticed a couple distinct differences between Montana and Charleston. First, everyone has an accent! Sometimes when I'm in class or just talking with someone, I just want to start laughing! I don't know why I find it so amusing, but it's a slow southern drawl and, of course, no one knows what I am talking about. The great part is when I talk to my family and they think that I am starting to pick up the accent! :-) Second, West Virginia is called the Mountain State; whoever named it, did they ever go to Montana? I guess not, but I do love these rolling hills of West Virginia!

I am super excited about the upcoming reunion and can't wait to meet so many new people! Also the Regional Symposiums that Andy has been arranging are a great way to have a mini reunion and to promote the National Youth Science Camp! I am excited about all the new things that are going on with the Foundation and the Alumni Association. This is going to be a great year of new adventures!

If you need anything or have any questions please let me know!!!

Take care,

Laine Lybeck (MT 2003, Staph 2004-present)
