Letter from the NYSCAA PresidentHowdy everyone! As I write this, summer has dropped a load of heat on South Texas. Our latest batch of future alumni are just now finding their way to some camp in West Virginia and having no real idea of what it is all about. If you could sit down with them, or any other alumni, for just one minute, what would you say? Would you talk about the alumni association and the reunion slated for this August in Oregon? Would you give them information on the value the alumni association offers? Would you tell them about the social community? The officers and BOA have been talking about these very things, searching to find ways to make your membership in the alumni association valuable to you. It has been the focus this year and you will start seeing the results of that planning in the very near future. Things that have been on the drawing board for a while are now being realized, and we hope that these things will add value to your membership. We will continue to look for ways to add value and welcome your suggestions and comments. Please drop me a line, introduce yourself and suggest away! Jay P.S. Please consider serving on the BOA or as an officer of the association! Nominations are being sought now for the Fall election. |
