Kiona loves the NYSC and has shown through time, talent and treasure that this is her passion.

Candidate for Secretary

  • John Giroir (LA 1989; Staph 1990-1995, 2015)

I want to continue in the role of National Secretary as I am passionate about seeing the NYSCAA build on the past and develop further. I also want to provide some continuity with this position and give key insights serving as the current NYSC Director. Thank you for your consideration and support.

Candidate for Treasurer

  • Diane Saunders (NC 2007)

I have been the NYSCAA treasurer for the past two years, which has allowed a smooth handling of finances across different executive boards. With existing access and understanding of our accounts, I can now easily continue this role and provide continuity at the upcoming transition. I look forward to working with future executive officers and Board advisors!

  • Frederick “Rick” Walker (OH 1964; Staph 1965-1969)

I have experience in both life and the NYSCAA. I have familiarity with both NYSF financial workings and NYSCAA capabilities. I have the time to commit to the task.

Candidates for Board of Advisors (BOA)

  • Joel Brown (WV 1989)

Joel has served previously with NYSCAA and being born and raised in West Virginia, has a passion for the State and for the National Youth Science Camp.

  • Alex McPherson (WV 2007; Staph 2010)

I have served previously and have a long-standing passion for the science camp. I'd like to become more engaged with the NYSCAA's social media, support the goal of more mini-reunions, and create more value for being a paid alumni.
